Hi, I'm Anthonia the skinny girl. This is going to be a short one. Growing up, I never knew the difference in body types, I never knew people made a big deal about body shapes and I had a way of handling people that called me skinny, or hungry because I never cared, I wasn't bothered, I wasn't phased. I didn't think I was different or wrong to be slim. In fact, I took the word “lekpa” as a compliment.

I enjoyed my body and I liked my bum a lot. I saw myself as special and that no one could look like me. I have small bosoms but the confidence I got from every other part of my body overshadowed the insecurity of my little bosoms. I got into the university and I realized people have different body types and I started to feel insecure about my breasts but not my weight at least not yet. I began feeling insecure about my body when I started to compare myself to others and that right there is the biggest mistake you can ever make.

You should learn to be yourself because there is no one like you. Even identical twins are not so identical. You see those marks, those scars, that fat, that height, that complexion you are so insecure about is what makes you different from anybody that has ever walked this earth.

I won't say you are beautiful because you already know that. You are the real deal. Believe in yourself, do what you want, wear what you want. Those things you are so scared of are your strengths. If you see anyone that has a problem with how you look, to hell with them and their opinions yes! that's how it's going to be from now on. Live healthily and be happy.
