VELVET IS UNDERRATED
Many of us don’t appreciate velvet enough. Many people don’t know how beautiful it is, how elegant and classy it can be. Nigerians call it “apkoche” and it was used or is still being used by our Igbo mothers. Velvet has been used a significant number of times in the fashion industry, from Gucci to Loius Vuitton to Channel to Prada, and fast-rising brands like ohpolly and badville have started incorporating velvet into their designs. Even our local tailors use it for wedding parties and owambe in general.
